“DC Academic Support Processes” realigned following stabilisation

Following the announcement in January that the introduction would be postponed, the “DC Academic Support Processes” project was reset. A new stage model has replaced the previous plan, and the project organisation has been adjusted. Hermann Lehner will take over as strategic project manager going forward.

The first stage – stage 0 “Stabilisation” – was completed at the end of March. Key outcomes include a new governance framework and a revised management structure. Milestones and go-live dates have also been redefined.

Furthermore, the organisation has been expanded: new additions include the “Training & Operations” subproject, and the “Business Architecture” and “Product Management & User Experience” staff units.

Focus on conceptual foundations

With the completion of the stabilisation, stage 1 "Foundation & Concept" is now beginning. This stage will prioritise fundamental conceptual work – particularly in the areas of data infrastructure, Identity & Access Management and User Experience.

This stage, which will run until December 2026, lays the fundamentals for the subsequent implementation. In parallel, the contractual framework is being revised and adapted to the new timeline and stage plan.
