About us
PeKo’s Commitment and Achievements
In recent years, we have achieved the following, amongst other things:
- We have secured permanent employment contracts as the standard for infrastructure roles.
- PeKo promotes appreciation for staff, including through the togETHer staff event.
- PeKo proposed the sabbatical scheme for administrative and technical staff and supported its introduction.
- The PeKo is committed to expanding the range of further training opportunities for staff.
- The PeKo maintains contact with the ETH Board.
- The PeKo is networked with representatives in the departments and central organisations, as well as with representatives of the institutions within the ETH Domain.
PeKo aims to achieve much more!
Interested in getting involved?
The ETH Zurich Staff Committee (PeKo) is always keen to hear from motivated members of the ETH community in the administrative and technical sectors who wish to get involved in staff matters.
The last elections for the 2022–2026 term were very successful, and we were able to welcome three new members who are a great addition to our team.
Sometimes PeKo members end their involvement early because they are retiring, need to set new priorities due to work commitments, or are leaving ETH. That is why we also accept applications outside of the regular elections for by-elections.
If you are interested in joining the PeKo, we look forward to hearing from you.
All ETH Zurich staff members who have been employed at ETH for at least six months on a permanent, non-terminable contract and are employed on a minimum of 50% basis are eligible to apply.
The next regular elections will take place in 2026 for the term 2026–2030 (4 years). The elections will be announced in good time.
