Nathan Lacroix wins DQI Best Thesis Award at APS Global Physics Summit 2026

This year's award from the Division of Quantum Information of the American Physical Society recognised the quality and significance of the doctoral research carried out by ETH Zurich alumnus Dr Nathan Lacroix, who completed his PhD in the group of Professor Andreas Wallraff.

This year's prize from the Micius Quantum Foundation celebrates quantum simulation in optical lattices, a field which Esslinger and his group in the Department of Physics have been spearheading from the very beginning.

100 girls visit ETH on the Kangaroo goes Science event
The 100 best girls from the Kangaroo mathematics competition were given the opportunity to visit ETH on 9 June. Former ski racer and physicist Dominique Gisin accompanied the girls as a mentor. ETH female researchers gave an insight into their research work.
