Weekly residence
If you already live in Switzerland, only come to Zurich during the week to study, and would like to keep your main residence (address and health insurance), you can register as a student with weekly residence.
You must apply for the weekly residence within 14 days of moving in at the external page Residents' Registration Office (book an appointment online) in Zurich or at your new place of residence.
You should bring the following documents:
- your residence permit for foreign nationals (Ausl?nderausweis)
- confirmation of residence (issued by the municipality of your main residence)
- your flat rental agreement
- Download extended confirmation of matriculation (PDF, 161 KB)
- processing fee of CHF 60
